Funny Expressions

Funny Expressions

Isn't it amusing how we casually use funny expressions in our everyday conversations, whether we're speaking Tamil, Telugu, or Malayalam? We don't even stop to think about how strange they are! Take, for example, when someone feels dizzy and doesn't want to do any work—they might say, "My head is spinning," even though their head is perfectly still. It's like saying you're on a roller coaster while you're just sitting in a chair!

Another example is when we’re on a train and ask, “Has Tambaram arrived?” as if Tambaram is the one moving. In reality, we’re the ones on the move, and the station is still. And when we were kids and tripped over a stone, we’d say, “The stone made me fall,” as if the stone did it on purpose and Even the fanciest, most expensive sandals can be uncomfortable at first. The edges can hurt our feet, but we just laugh and say the sandals gave us a little bite—even though they don’t have teeth! These funny expressions are just part of how we talk, and we never really think about them—we just keep using them and enjoy the laughs they bring.
