Why to Comply

                                                       Why to Comply

Being compliant is a wonderful attribute of any person or entity. Though a tangible value cannot be assigned for being compliant, but one can understand the price to be paid for not being compliant would be heavy which might even result in loss of the entity itself.  It is always one of the metrics used by auditors when it comes for forming an opinion about an entity.  We have two nice separate scenarios in Ramayana about the price paid for being non-compliant and let us take a plunge on the scenarios through a narration.

Parents, friends, and life partners play crucial roles in our lives, offering valuable advice and guidance. However, people often overestimate their own knowledge, neglecting this counsel, which can lead to regrettable outcomes. The Ramayana illustrates this with two notable instances.

First, Ma Sita Devi ignored Lord Rama’s warning about an illusory deer, leading to her abduction by Ravana. This underscores the danger of dismissing the advice of loved ones. Second, Ravana ignored his wife’s warning about Lord Rama being an incarnation of Lord Mahavishnu, realizing too late the grave mistake he made.

These examples highlight the importance of heeding advice from those who care for us. Both Ma Sita Devi's and Ravana's stories demonstrate that disregarding wise counsel can lead to severe consequences. The lesson is clear: to lead a prosperous life, it is essential to comply with advice, rules, and regulations, as ignoring them often leads to downfall.
